1 ACT Driving Schools has delivered DDS-certified Driver training in Metro Atlanta since 2011, operating from 7 licensed locations including Sandy Springs, Alpharetta, Lawrenceville, Marietta, Doraville, and Johns Creek. Georgia’s Defensive Driving and Driver Improvement Program is a 6-hour course regulated by the Georgia Department of Driver Services. It is the only certified format accepted for traffic ticket dismissal, point reduction (up to 7 points every 5 years), license reinstatement, court-ordered requirements, and auto insurance premium discounts of at least 10% for 3 years. Pre-recorded or self-paced courses are not accepted by Georgia DDS for any of these purposes — only live instructor-led classes, whether attended from home via Zoom or at one of our locations, qualify.

Class Guidelines — Please Read Before Proceeding

Class Attendance Rules (DDS Requirements):

  • Zoom Required: Download Zoom Workplace on your device before class (if required).
  • Camera & Audio: A working camera, microphone, and stable internet connection are mandatory throughout the session.
  • Full Attention Required:No distractions during class — no working, driving, sitting in cars, shopping, watching TV, or substance use.
  • Punctuality Matters: Log in 10–15 minutes before class. Tardiness is not permitted. If you have not received the Zoom link one hour before class, contact us immediately at 770-274-4223.
  • Pre-Class Requirements: Complete the contract, student information form, and assessment before class, or you will need to reschedule.
Important: Failure to follow these rules will result in removal from the class, forfeiture of fees, and the need to repay and restart the course.
