The Georgia DUI, Alcohol or Drug Use Risk Reduction Program
The Department of Driver Services (DDS) regulates the DUI Alcohol or Drug Use Risk Reduction Program (RRP) also more commonly referred to as DUI schools. This is an intervention program mandated by law for people convicted of Driving Under the Influence (DUI), possession of illegal drugs, underage possession of alcohol while operating a motor vehicle, or Boating Under the Influence (BUI).

What is a DUI, Alcohol or Drug Use Risk Reduction Course?
DUI, Alcohol or Drug Use Risk Reduction is an intervention program mandated by law for people convicted of Driving Under the Influence (DUI), possession of illegal drugs, underage possession of alcohol while operating a motor vehicle, or Boating Under the Influence (BUI). It consists of two components: an assessment component and an intervention component. Both components must be successfully completed in order to obtain a certificate of completion.

What Assessment Components are certified by the DDS for use in the State of Georgia?
Currently, the only Assessment Component approved by the DDS for use in the State of Georgia is the NEEDS, which is a copyrighted product of ADE, Inc.

What Intervention Components are certified by the DDS for use in the State of Georgia?
Currently, the only Intervention Component approved by the DDS for use in the State of Georgia isPrime for Life, which is a copyrighted product of Prevention Research Institute, Inc.

How do I know if a particular DUI, Alcohol, or Drug Use Risk Reduction school has been approved?

What is the cost of a DUI, Alcohol or Drug Use Risk Reduction course?
The cost of a DUI, Alcohol or Drug Use Risk Reduction course is set by law. The total cost of the course is $355.00. This includes the Assessment Component ($100.00), the Intervention Component ($255.00).

No extra Charge with Saturday & Sunday DUI Classes

All programs offer the same State-mandated Pricing for DUI/ Risk Reduction Class

We offer Lunch from Longhorn Steakhouse on Saturdays, and Sundays. (DUI Classes ONLY)

We serve fine coffee, tea and soft drinks during the entire course. But we also want you to experience all that we do for our students. Enjoy a delicious, complimentary lunch on Saturday or Sunday classes. You will be given a menu at the start of the class. Your lunch will be served at beginning of the break period.

Return Policy

If you have registered for a class and are unable to attend, contact 1 ACT DUI, & Defensive Driving School at least two (2) business days prior to your class and request a transfer to another scheduled class. Requests must be made two (2) business days prior to the date of the original class to approve any changes. Transfer requests cannot be honored after the class has occurred. Please email 1actduischool@gmail.com, or call 404-641-2211, Monday–Friday 10:00am–5:00pm for questions.

If you are registered and are unable to attend, we will under certain circumstances allow you to change your scheduled class one time. These situations will be determined on an individual basis and we require a 48 hours notice to approve any changes. All fees are non-refundable once you have registered and paid.

1 ACT DUI, & Defensive Driving School always adhere to the state guide lines. State laws prohibit us from disclosing personal information to anyone, including relatives, without express written permission from you.

Counseling

Georgia law requires anyone that has been charged with a DUI to complete a Drug and Alcohol evaluation with a state-approved counselor. Each evaluation will last about one hour. We charge the minimum fee allowed by Georgia law at $95.
